Women Leading Change Program
Conscious woman-positive leadership?
Women’s leadership has become a hot topic. All types of organizations are now seeing the “untapped resource” that we call women. However, just because it is a woman that is leading does not mean that it is better leadership. WLC supports women in becoming their personal best and understanding the insidious mechanism that keep women limited in both their leadership and their lives.
Summary of Program
Women Leading Change (WLC) is a six-month, part-time, experience-based program designed to strengthen your leadership skills so that you confidently lead from an aware and woman-positive orientation. WLC uses an integrative approach, best summarized as conscious and transformational leadership, which draws from various spiritual, psychological, and philosophical traditions, as well as progressive approaches such as Buddhism, Taoism, shamanism, women’s spirituality, Rogerian Theory, Core Energetics, social psychology, crisis intervention, consciousness studies, feminism, non-linear thinking, creative thinking, and organizational development. This program is designed to help women who are dedicated to social change access and understand their personal power, provide methods for working effectively with other women, and, ultimately, turn those other women into leaders who do the same for even more women.
Purpose of Program
The purpose of Women Leading Change is to:
- Empower women to step into leadership roles in the social change field through providing skills and experience.
- Provide women with the skills and tools they need to be effective agents of change.

- Develop awareness of issues of diversity and character traits
- Be aware of their own thinking and its effect on their leadership.
Women Leading Change Students
Women Leading Change students are insightful and powerful women, mostly between the ages of 25 and 55, who are committed to social change. Regardless of their background or learning styles, these women are lifetime learners who are eager to learn useful new skills. These women put an emphasis on action without giving up a deep connection to themselves because they are aware that violence inside and outside of themselves no longer be tolerated.
