Gretchen's Testimonial

Lushanya's Testimonial

This program did so much to increase my clarity, confidence, and skills around leadership through masterfully holding a space for growth and exploration of a new paradigm of leadership. Kate helped me to bring forward my personal visions for change and to finely craft that vision into a workable plan. On top of that, I had the opportunity to work together with other motivating and inspiring women, leaving me with not just a powerful sense of sisterhood but a belief that great positive change can happen on our planet.

Kate ROCKS! She is a true visionary with the skills of an effective, clean communicator. She's recognized the shift that is happening in the world with more women stepping up as leaders. With WLC she has created a comprehensive program to really propel that shift.

Prior to WLC, I had familiarity and even experience with various leadership styles and group dynamics, but they did not have names and labels. The labels are not important in and of themselves but now I recognize that they are actually identifiable components that I can watch for instead of intuiting. That alone has expanded my awareness and increased my confidence in my leadership abilities.

The bottom line is that I trust myself more and I recognize that I have something to offer!
-- Gretchen

I left each weekend saying to myself, "Wow, that was phenomenal!" I learned the pragmatics of leadership. I was given permission to learn how to be a leader which is different than how I have traditionally been taught. In my native culture, I am expected to learn through observation, by trial and error, and through really hard obstacles --always my integrity and resilience was tested or my ego. Through WLC, I have learned a myriad of leadership modalities. I learned without ever being ashamed of my perceptions, thoughts, and ideas, and the culture from which I come. After WLC I feel that I know in my gut that I have the foundational/concrete skills to be a leader and to use my personal power for whatever change I wish to see in the world.

Before I started WLC and working with Kate, I always thought that to be a good and effective leader, I had to be big, enigmatic, and a doctor of the healing arts.  What I learned from Kate is that I am enough as long as I am authentic in my own experiences, honest as to what I know for sure and have a certain degree of humility around what it is I am trying to lead people to. Kate's teachings are a deep and refreshing well for teachers, healers, and leaders. I am one lucky leader because of my experience in this program.

Before I started the WLC program with Kate, I had visions and ideas but felt overwhelmed by the magnitude of them. I was convinced I did not have the tools, energy, skills, charisma to manifest these visions. The three most significant things that I learned from the WLC program and Kate are. 1.) The only thing standing between me and my visions is my fear. 2.) All my excuses are just old tapes and I have the ability to change them. 3.) I have a much better understanding of how groups work, how to keep a group together, functional, and worthy of everyone's time.

Kate, Thank you for the focused time, energy and passion that it took for this program to be developed. I am so grateful for this opportunity to participate and honored to have been in this first round of WLC.

I entered this program wanting to learn more about myself and how to be a better facilitator, organizer, and leader in my own life and in my community. There was a huge sense of knowing that my soul's passion wants to come forth, and urgency, and a desire to better understand what I am trying to create in the world. I knew where I wanted to end up but not how to get there.

Through WLC, I have learned so many valuable listening skills that come in handy daily and enrich my interactions with others. I discovered a leadership style that is unique, empowering to myself and to myself and others and breaks the paradigm of what I thought in the past was "the only way to make it work." I have embraced and learned to really understand a more feminine, strong, and inspiring way to move forward in the world -- available to all of us.

WLC also provided me with access to amazing resources and wonderful guest teachers who fueled my hunger to learn more and more and to continue working and striving to understand more about how women are leading change and what a difference we are making.

Kate is an amazing leader and teacher. I am so grateful I was able to take part in this program. I am leaving, not only with new leadership skills but with a renewed and heightened sense of self. I am able to identify what kind of leader I am, where my strengths are and also what I'd like to improve. I can't think of a more skilled, compassionate, and intelligent person to lead a program like this. Kate leads with integrity and grace. She genuinely desires women to change the world. Kate is great!

Before I started WLC I had a general idea about what I was looking for. I wanted to attain and improve certain skills. What I didn't know was that Kate's program was set up to teach women leadership skills in a very holistic way. Leadership comes in many shapes and colors. Kate was able to tap into each woman's individual strengths through this holistic approach.

Specifically, I came out of the WLC program with a better sense of who I am as a leader. What gifts I have to give are now known to me. I also gained an expansion of my knowledge about tools I can use as a leader to lead in a holistic way.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this inspiring program, with an amazing leader, teacher and facilitator, Kate Siner Francis. Kate's personal blend of facilitation and leading by example brought deep insight in my exploration for how power and leadership are defined and were begging redefining. Through the lens of our work I began to see different paradigms -- much more empowering paradigms to view leadership, power and accountability through. We completed the program not even one week ago and still so many learnings are revealing themselves and sifting down into my consciousness.

For me, this program set my feet squarely on the path to share my gifts with the world, and stop stalling or sidestepping my highest vision for my life... no more excuses for not having the life I want and living from some place other than my creativity and passion. It surprised me how clearly things snapped into focus through the individual and group work we did. Kate guided us more deeply into awareness and consciousness of ourselves while quickly creating a safe space for the journey, internally and within the group of women. We reflected on the group's work and growth as a team, and the experience of being the living model for the progress we were learning about made many of the teachings experiential, which I loved.

Since teaching is part of my vision for my life, the pieces that Kate modeled as facilitator about sharing power, being vulnerable, being 'in the mess', authentic and present, and shifting group energy and dynamics have taken me into a place where I am comfortable in this role, and can see the richness to be harvested from some places I would have avoided prior to WLC. This program exposes the wisdom we hold that we miss because we're so used to ourselves, and offers skills to facilitate and navigate where we have not yet gained experience. It is empowering to stand in each moment fearlessly sharing your gifts with the world, and that is exactly what Kate is doing, and what she is offering to the women who go through this program.
